Banginapalli is the earlist variety of mango. Also known as Benishan and is originally from the Andhra Pradesh town of Banaganapalle. It was registered as one of the geographical indication in India. The fruit is oval in shape, with yellow flesh and a thin, smooth yellow skin. The flesh is of a firm, meaty texture and is sweet and lacks fibre. Mostly used for making Mango Pulp.
