Tamarind scientifically known as Tamarindus indica L and is referred to as “date of India”. The fruit is highly Acidic in nature and contain tartaric acid. The ripe fruit of tamarind tree is used as a condiment. Tamarind tree fruit pulp is used widely in numerous Indian culinary preparations.
